John of Damascus[1]
Saint John the Damascene,
His beard’s the best you’ve ever seen,
Said no to the emperor’s strictures
Because he liked to kiss pictures.

accidentally took a month off from writing these clerihews. I decided that as
long as I followed through with 100 days of clerihews, it didn’t matter if they
were consecutive days.
